Amber is a gentle, loving, and playful spirit who equally loves to run and cuddle. She loves being petted and is altogether adorable. She is 9 months to a year, spayed, 39lbs, fully house trained and working on leash skills. She loves to run and wrestle with her foster brother and is very friendly to other dogs and people. She sleeps and rests well in a crate when we cannot watch her. We would encourage ongoing use of a crate when not being monitored as she is young and very curious and may explore unattended shoes and flip flops. Amber can be vocal when not with her people so she would be better suited to someone who either works from home or to a home with multiple people. Amber can sing sad songs when unattended (which is also very cute) but soon quiets down. She is very food motivated and incredibly smart, so she is quick to learn new things. Amber knows sit, down, off, leave it, and learning recall. Amber generally walks well on a leash but will need consistent training as she is still young. Amber is named for her amber eyes, which pair perfectly with her soft golden coat. She is a shepherd mix and, in that way, loves to follow and stay close to her people. We expect her to stay around 40lbs when grown. We do not have cats, so we are unsure how she does with cats. She has been around children and is very sweet. If you want a loving, cuddly dog that listens well and makes good eye contact, Amber will be an amazing addition to your family.
