Description:
Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue Meet Oakley, a stunning brown tabby and white gentleman whose coat is adorned with soft, swirling patterns of deep rich chocolate brown. His beauty is subtle yet striking, much like his personality. At first, Oakley may hang back and watch the world from a quiet corner, his expressive eyes full of curiosity and caution. But speak to him in a calm, gentle voice, and you’ll see a transformation begin—his body relaxes, his eyes soften, and soon a low, tender purr begins to hum in response. Oakley is a soul of quiet depth and gentle affection. He doesn’t rush into trust, but once he feels safe, his sweetness unfolds like a delicate bloom. He loves soft pets and the reassuring presence of a kind human, preferring calm moments to chaos and patience to pressure. His tender heart thrives in a peaceful home where kindness is spoken fluently. He gets along beautifully with other cats and finds comfort in their company—especially his companions Archie and Ashby, who arrived at the rescue alongside him. While they don’t need to be adopted together, their shared bond shows how kind and easygoing Oakley truly is. For someone willing to give him time and understanding, Oakley will become a steadfast and loving friend—a quiet presence whose gentle purrs and trusting gaze speak volumes about the power of patience and love. Meet the #CatsOfGettysburg - Apply to adopt at bit.ly/AdoptFLR and we will help you find the purr-fect kitty for your family! Visit dozens of our adoptable cats and kittens at our Kitty Corner adoption center 39 Queen St in historic Gettysburg PA on any Saturday or Sunday from 11am-3pm. All of the cats listed are located in or near Gettysburg unless otherwise noted. Please note that while we work hard to keep our available cats up to date we also have many that are not posted yet. Adoption fees are $60 for adult cats and kittens over 6 months old, $100 for kittens (under 6 months) and $30 for senior cats (7 years+) to help cover vet bills for spay/neuter, basic vaccinations, testing, microchips and preventatives. No cat will be officially adopted without being spayed/neutered and vaccinated (unless there are health risks in doing so). We highly recommend adopting kittens in pairs and we do discount for double adoptions here to encourage it. We are always in need of donations to help us continue to save hundreds of cats and kittens every year. Visit bit.ly/DonateFLR for more info.
