Female Cat, Tabby
Tabby / Domestic Short Hair (Short Coat)
Description:
I have been fostering 18-year old Olive and need to find her a loving home. She is very, very affectionate and loves to be on someone's lap. She gets along with dogs and cats - she ignores them for the most part. She is pretty spry and doesn't show any outward signs of discomfort or illness. She is SUPER sweet and loveable. She wants to meet every visitor and will follow me from room to room. She does not try to escape and will happily remain in the house when the door is left open for my dog to go in and out. She has stage 2 kidney disease and has a special diet (I will provide bags of food). She has been as stage 2 for over a year. She is a patient of Pacific Veterinary Hospital. I will continue to pay for her veterinary care. This sweet old lady lived in a hoarding situation for 16 years and will pee on carpeting if that is available. I removed all my rugs and have found that she will reliably use a pee pad that is placed beside the litter box. She will use the litter box for bowel movements. I am moving to Vermont to live with my mom, who has wall to wall carpeting. I just can't bring her with me. Please reach out if you, or someone you know, may be able to give her a good home for her remaining years. Sweeet Olive lives in Portland and her rehoming fee is $100. Her vet care and special food will be paid for by the current caregiver. This cat is offered for adoption due to the owner's personal circumstances. For more information on meeting and adopting this kitty, please fill out a pre-adoption application under "ADOPT" on our website at WWW.CATSCRADLERESCUE.COM. Your information will be forwarded to the owner for follow-ups and meeting arrangement. Cat's Cradle is an all-volunteer, non-profit foster-home based rescue serving Oregon cats who need new homes. 100% of your adoption fee goes to provide for the medical and physical needs of the cats in our care. We invite you to become a foster parent and experience the great satisfaction of helping a cat or kitten in need.
