11/08/25 This sweet kitty is Luna! Luna was brought to the shelter with her brother Moon. They were described as being `feral.` However, during their stay at the shelter, Luna has been nothing short of an outgoing cuddlebug, and Moon has been shy but affectionate with slow introductions. It should be noted that cats are both predator and prey animals. So when they get stressed, they enter fight or flight easily, and it can take a long time for them to come down from a high arousal state, unlike dogs who can sometimes easily reset with yummy treats. In a new home environment, Luna and Moon may hide for the first couple of days, especially Moon. They are looking for patient homes that will help them feel safe and let them come around on their own time. Luna and Moon have been using their litter boxes reliably while at the shelter. They do appreciate having a hidey hole, such as a hideout or cat cave. If you are interested in meeting either Luna, Moon or the pair, please give us a call!
